Digital Radiography

Diagnostic Radiography is used to look at the boney portions of the musculoskeletal unit of the horse's body. The use of digital radiography provides immediate images of greater detail and greater flexibility of the image including visualizing some soft tissue structures using the image manipulation capability of the digital system. The digital radiography technology provides a very crisp, detailed image superior to most standard radiography systems, and also allows for the manipulation of contrast, and exposure of the image after it is taken in digital format. This capability increases the diagnostic information available from the initial image.
